CHPS WINNERS OF IT'S ACADEMIC

In October, 2005, the school was invited by Television Channel 7 to join 26 other government and independent schools to compete for a prize of $10,000 for the winning school in addition to prizes to be awarded to each member of the 15 member team. Castle Hill Public School won the first series. The show was compered by Channel 7 personality Simon Reeve and originally screened during November 2005 and February 2006.

Tsunami Walkathon
On Monday 7th March, the Castle Hill Public School Student Representative Council held a Walkathon to raise funds for the re-establishment of schools in Sri-Lanka following the Boxing Day Tsunami. The walkathon was started by Lynne McGrainger who plays the role of Irene in "Home and Away". More than $22,000 was raised for this appeal.
