ANZAC DAY COMMEMORATION

KINDERGARTEN BEGINS

SWIMMING CARNIVAL

NEW FAMILY BARBEQUE  On Sunday 24th February our school’s P&C organised a BBQ to welcome new families to our school community.  The sausages were hot, the sun was shining and a great time was had by all.  The students leaders help to organise some fun games and activities for the children to give the parents an opportunity to meet and talk with other parents.

CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY  Students eagerly participated in Clean Up Australia @ School Day on Monday 3rd March.  All classes had different areas in the school to clean up.  They did a wonderful job.  Our school looks marvellous.

CASTLE HILL SHOW  Where would the Show be without the wonderful work of Castle Hill students? We had many award winners. Participation not only demonstrates the students’ many skills, but gives them a sense of participation in their broader community. Congratulations to all our entrants, particularly our award winners.  Thank you to the many parents who made the trip to the Show possible by supervising groups of students throughout the day.

HARMONY DAY  Castle Hill Public School celebrated Harmony Day on Thursday 20th March.  Students were able to wear their national attire or add a touch of orange to their school uniform.  Many students wore their national attire. They looked fabulous and were proud to celebrate their multicultural heritage. Throughout the term classes have been studying different cultures.  During Harmony Day students visited other classrooms to learn about different cultures.

BOOK WEEK PARADE

TREE DAY  Under the guidance of Ms Gale, enthusiastic students and teachers participated in plantings in many areas of the school.  Our local member, Michael Richardson, donated a flowering gum that he planted with the help of KG students.  Each grade in the school has an environmental responsibility. By incorporating action for the environment in school life, we are setting behaviour patterns for a better future.

PRESENTATION NIGHT

OUR WORLD RECORD HOLDER  Lucus of 6C holds the World Record for the Fastest Easy Sudoku Completion.  This record was recently attempted by Lucus for Guinness World Records when he completed his round of Sudoku in 1min38.17sec, smashing the previous record by an amazing 30.36 seconds.  These photos show him being interviewed by the media following announcement of his achievement.
