MONACO VISIT DIARY

Welcome Assembly

Students from COLLèGE CHARLES III visited CASTLE HILL PUBLIC SCHOOL from 13th to 27th February, 2004.  While here they stayed with school families to experience family life in Australia.  They were able to explore Sydney and surrounding areas during a series of excursions planned for them.  This visit strengthened ties between our two schools which began in 2000 when Castle Hill Public School was the Welcoming School for the Monaco Olympic Team.

During their visit they saw Australian animals at the Featherdale Wildlife Park, walked across the Harbour Bridge, explored The Rocks, the Opera House and the Botanical Gardens, travelled the Parramatta River on the River Cat and enjoyed the fun of the Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.  They travelled to Katoomba and rode the Scenic Railway.  They were guests at the NSW Parliament House and the Baulkham Hills Shire Council held a Reception in their honour.
