YEAR 2 TRANSPORT

Transport is moving from place to place

Rockets go really fast out of space.

Aeroplanes can carry lots of people,

NSW has busy roads with lots of cars.

Skateboards have tiny wheels.

People travel in cars, trucks, buses and bikes.

Our feet can go a long distance.

Racing cars go on roads.

Trains are very long on tracks.

EXCURSION TO SYDNEY AIRPORT

Yesterday we went to the excursion with 2B and 2K. We first went to the airport then we went to the Maritime Museum. We went on a bus and across the Harbour Bridge. When we crossed the Harbour Bridge I saw the Opera House. At the airport I saw a 555 seater Jumbo Jet. People at the airport waved at us. On the aeroplane there was a flashing light that meant give way. We saw the planes taking off and landing. The bus driver stopped and opened the door, and when the aeroplane flew over the bus we heard the noises a few times, because there were lots of planes coming and landing on the ground. When the wheels touched to the ground the wheels puff with white puffs. The bus driver’s name was Wayne. He was a nice man. I liked him. At the Maritime Museum I saw the fastest jet, aluminium boats, speed boats, car ferries, kara karas and a dugout canoe. I saw the lighthouse outside the Maritime Museum. We went in the HMAS Vampire-Destroyer. First I did not know, that was why I got the destroyer sticker, but now I do. I liked going in the HMAS Vampire. It was really fun to go in. People were going in the submarine. I would want to go in the submarine when I grow up and come back. I want to go there again.

One day there was an egg named Humpty Dumpty and he was walking to McDonalds. He ordered a cheeseburger and a coke. Then he decided to jump on a wall and sit on it. When his order came he was so excited to eat his cheeseburger and drink his coke so he jumped up and down…. OOPS! He fell off the wall so the McDonalds workers called the ambulance and ended up gathering the king’s men. But the McDonalds workers didn’t care so the king’s men put Humpty Dumpty on their horse and rode off but Humpty Dumpty did not make it.
